August Burns Red, from Mannheim, PA, formed in 2003 and began performing while most of the band members were still seniors in high school and would rehearse in the old egg house and basement of drummer, Matt Greiner’s family.

The band released their debut EP ‘Looks Fragile After All’ with CI Records in 2004. At this time, the band consisted of Lead Guitarist JB Brubaker, Rhythm Guitarist Brent Rambler, Drummer Matt Greiner, Bassist Jordan Tuscan, and Lead Vocalist Jon Hershey.

In 2006, the band had its last lineup changes with the addition of Lead Vocalist Jake Luhrs, and Bassist Dustin Davidson. August Burns Red has released 10 studio albums throughout their illustrious 20 year career (2023). The band has consistently toured and traveled the entire globe and continues to do so.

August Burns Red is known for their heavy breakdowns with melodic, odd-meter, intricate guitar riffs and has been nominated for two Grammy’s.

When not on tour, the band remains local to the Lancaster and Central PA area. Their annual holiday music festival, Christmas Burns Red, is held in Downtown Lancaster every year. See below for more info.
